The latest addition to the expanding range of Bateson quality trailers is the range of Auto Tilting trailers. This range of flat platform trailers has been designed with an extremely safe and efficient loading system suitable for transporting vehicles, machinery and grounds maintenance equipment. |

Bateson Trailers have patented the principle of extending the deck rear-wards to balance the body which is pivoted over the rear axle. The rear of the body can then be pushed down to give a shallow approach angle. When the load moves forward the body tilts to its normal position and the rear section raised with the help of gas struts which allow the correct weight distribution for stable towing. | |

The trailers are fitted with a hydraulic cylinder to damp the action and hand pump to enable the deck to be tilted if the load cannot be moved backwards. The special pump is fitted with a large non-return valve to enable the deck to be held in the raised position after it has tilted backwards manually and lowered by releasing the return valve. | |

The trailer is available in 3 models AT36 (12') AT43 (14') AT5O (16'). All have a deck height of 54cm and are 2m wide, gross weight will be 2750kg. All have a standard spare wheel and lockable toolbox which will contain the optional portable 12V electric winch can be positioned on the deck and stored in the toolbox for security. We envisage the market to be for the transport of ground care machinery and vehicles. The trailers are very easy and quick to operate and are virtually fool proof and have a flat platform, no ramps to lose, no heavy rear door and good rear ground clearance. | |
